Trends move fast in the beauty world, and so do opinions.
These products were everywhere online, and at one point, I genuinely enjoyed using them. They felt exciting and new when I first tried them.
Over time, though, my expectations changed as I discovered formulas that worked better for me. These aren’t bad products—they just don’t stand out in my routine anymore!
1. Gisou Leave-In Conditioner
At first, this product felt impressive simply because it was different from anything I had tried before. As I continued using it, I realized my hair didn’t look or feel noticeably better. The formula also started to feel like too much on my hair. One thing I still appreciate is the packaging—it’s undeniably cute and well designed.

2. Gisou Lip Oil
This one is hard to admit because I truly loved it at one point. I talked about it constantly and recommended it to everyone around me. Over time, the scent became something I couldn’t ignore, and it slowly turned me away from using it as often. The formula itself is still nice, and the packaging remains one of its strongest points.
3. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Face Mask
This mask was once a staple in my routine whenever my skin needed extra hydration. While I still think it performs well, it no longer feels unique compared to other options I’ve tried since. The formula is pleasant, but the packaging can be frustrating to use, which takes away from the experience.
Tastes evolve, and so do routines. Just because something was once a favorite doesn’t mean it will always hold the same place. These products had their moment with me, and while I don’t reach for them often now, they helped shape what I look for in beauty today!
