I used to think blush was just an extra step—nice, but not necessary. Turns out, it’s the one thing that can quietly pull everything together.
When I started trying local brands more seriously, Luxcrime and ESQA kept showing up in my routine, each with a completely different vibe. So here’s how I’d describe them, not in a technical way, but in the way I actually experience them.
1. Luxcrime
Luxcrime feels like that reliable piece in your makeup bag that never surprises you—in a good way. The texture is light and easy to blend, which makes it very beginner-friendly. Even if you apply a bit too much, it softens out instead of sitting awkwardly. What I personally like is how the color builds slowly. It doesn’t rush you. You can go from barely-there to slightly more noticeable without feeling like you’ve crossed a line. The finish also leans natural, not too matte, not too shiny—just enough to give that healthy look.
2. ESQA
ESQA approaches pink a little differently. The shades feel more alive—slightly richer, a bit more noticeable, and definitely more intentional. The first time I tried it, I realized quickly that a light hand works best. But once you get the hang of it, the result is really pretty. It adds a kind of structure to the cheeks, not just color. The pink tones here don’t fade into the background; they quietly stand their ground.
Both of these give a different version of pink, and I’ve come to enjoy switching between them. Luxcrime feels like a soft whisper—subtle, easy, and comforting. ESQA, on the other hand, speaks a little clearer, adding presence without going overboard. It really depends on what kind of mood I’m in. Some days I want barely-there color, other days I don’t mind letting the blush take a bit more space. Either way, pink doesn’t feel as intimidating anymore once you find the right one.
