Great Day, Lykkers! Calming serums honestly save my skin more than brightening or exfoliating products sometimes.
Whenever my skin feels irritated, red, stressed, or just “angry for no reason,” these are the products I start reaching for immediately.
Lately, I’ve been testing these three non-local soothing serums, and they all perform differently depending on what my skin needs.
So if you’re confused about which calming serum fits your skin type better, here’s my honest experience.
1. Abib Heartleaf Essence
My Rating: 9.5/10
The Abib Heartleaf Essence is probably the most soothing out of the three for me. The texture starts like a light gel, but once blended, it becomes more watery and spreads very smoothly across the skin. It gives hydration immediately, but the biggest thing I noticed is how calming it feels on irritated skin.
Whenever my skin looks red after exfoliating or feels sensitive from weather changes, this serum makes everything feel more comfortable again. The redness on my cheeks also looks noticeably calmer after using it consistently. The only small downside is that it takes slightly longer to fully settle into the skin compared to the other two serums. Still, the soothing effect honestly makes up for it.
2. Jumiso Super Soothing Serum
My Rating: 9/10
The Jumiso Super Soothing Serum feels the most moisturizing among all three. The texture is thicker and more cushiony, so the skin instantly feels softer and more hydrated after application. This is the serum I enjoy most during dry-skin days because it gives that plump healthy-skin look almost immediately. I also noticed my skin texture feels smoother after using it for a while, especially around areas that usually feel rough or dehydrated.
For soothing, it still performs nicely, especially after exfoliating skincare. But personally, I feel the calming effect on redness isn’t as strong as the Abib serum. Still, if your skin needs both hydration and calming care together, this one feels really comforting.
3. Commonlabs Vitamin E Calming Ampoule
My Rating: 8/10
The Commonlabs Vitamin E Calming Ampoule is definitely the fastest-absorbing serum here. The moment it touches the skin, it sinks in almost immediately. No waiting around, no sticky feeling, no heavy finish. It feels super lightweight and practical, especially for oily skin types or morning skincare routines.
But because it absorbs so quickly, my dry skin personally wanted a little more moisture afterward. I think oily or combination skin would probably enjoy this texture much more. As for the soothing effect, I honestly didn’t feel it as strongly compared to Abib or Jumiso. However, I did notice it helps acne heal faster and keeps the skin looking cleaner overall.
If my skin feels irritated and sensitive, I’d immediately pick Abib again because the calming effect feels the most noticeable on my skin. For extra hydration and that soft plump look, Jumiso feels amazing. Meanwhile, Commonlabs works better for lightweight routines or oily skin days when I don’t want anything heavy sitting on my face.
