My Favorite Hair Masks!

Lykkers, I don’t know when hair masks became part of my personality, but here we are. At this point, I fully believe a good hair mask can fix at least 40% of my problems.
Whenever my hair starts feeling dry, dull, or emotionally damaged from too much heat styling, I immediately enter recovery mode.
And honestly? These two masks have been carrying my entire hair routine lately.

1. Gisou Honey Gloss Ceramide Therapy Hydrating Hair Mask — around $42

This mask makes my hair look like I suddenly drink enough water and have my life together. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It smells sweet, warm, and expensive in the prettiest way possible. Every time I use it, my hair keeps smelling amazing for hours, and I genuinely catch myself flipping my hair around for no reason.
Texture-wise, it feels rich but not overly thick. My hair absorbs it so nicely without getting weighed down afterward, which is important because I hate when hydrating masks make my hair look flat. After rinsing it out, my hair always feels ridiculously soft and glossy.
Not just “conditioned” soft, but that silky smooth kind of soft where you can’t stop touching your ends. I especially love how healthy my hair looks the next morning under sunlight. The shine is actually unreal.

2. Kérastase Première Anti-Breakage Repairing Mask for Damaged Hair — around $68

This one is less “cute self-care moment” and more “serious hair recovery treatment.” I started using it after my hair went through way too much heat styling and honestly started feeling sad. Dry ends, rough texture, random breakage… my hair was struggling. The texture feels super rich and creamy, and the second I rinse it out, my hair instantly feels smoother. Not coated, not fake-soft, just healthier.
What really impressed me was how much stronger my hair felt after a few uses. My ends looked less rough, my hair became easier to brush, and it stopped feeling fragile every time I tied it up. And yes, the price hurts a little. I absolutely questioned my financial decisions while buying it. But every time I use it, my hair feels like it just came back from an expensive salon appointment, so somehow I forgive it.
I love both for completely different reasons. When I want shiny, soft, pretty-looking hair that smells incredible, I always reach for the Gisou mask. But when my hair feels damaged, overstyled, or one step away from giving up on me, Kérastase becomes my emergency rescue plan. Honestly, hair masks have become my favorite part of self-care lately.
There’s just something comforting about putting one on, waiting around in cozy clothes, and knowing your hair is slowly becoming softer while you do absolutely nothing productive.
