Do you know, Lykkers? Perfume, for me, is never just about smelling good. It’s more like a quiet signature I carry without saying anything.
Some days I want to feel elegant, some days fresh, and other days just a bit soft and easy to be around.
These three perfumes I’ve been using feel like completely different moods in my collection, and I naturally switch between them depending on how I want to show up that day.
1. Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540
This one feels like confidence in a bottle. The scent is warm, slightly sweet, and has that airy depth that stays with you for hours. Every time I wear it, I feel a bit more composed, like I’ve put myself together even if my outfit is simple. It’s not a “background” perfume—it enters the room with you.
I usually reach for this when I want to feel more noticeable, more polished, or when I know I’ll be out for the evening. It has that lasting impression that lingers softly on clothes and skin.
2. Jo Malone Earl Grey & Cucumber
This one feels like calm mornings and clean air. It’s light, refreshing, and has this gentle tea-like softness that makes everything feel slower in a good way. I like wearing it when I don’t want anything heavy on my skin. It works perfectly for daytime, especially when I want to feel fresh without trying too hard. It doesn’t demand attention, it just quietly sits with you. To me, it feels like a “reset” scent—simple, elegant, and very easy to live with.
3. Burberry Her
This one is playful and a bit more youthful in energy. It leans fruity and sweet, but still feels modern rather than childish. When I wear it, my mood feels lighter, almost like I’m in a better version of my casual self. I reach for this when I want something easy-going but still a bit noticeable. It’s the kind of scent that makes me feel more relaxed and a bit more fun, especially during daytime outings or casual plans.
I don’t really choose perfumes by rules. I choose them by mood. Baccarat Rouge 540 is my “presence” scent. Jo Malone is my “fresh and quiet” scent. Burberry Her is my “light and playful” scent. Each one feels like a different version of me, and I like that I don’t have to stick to just one identity every day.
Some days I want to be bold, some days I want to disappear a little, and sometimes I just want to feel easy and soft. And maybe that’s what I love most about perfume—it doesn’t change who I am, it just highlights whichever side I feel like showing.
