Eyeshadow can change the tone of a whole look faster than most steps in a routine. Some days I want something a bit playful, other days I lean toward something cleaner and more controlled.
Lately, I’ve been switching between two that sit in very different moods: the ANYLADY Glitter Eyeshadow Palette and Dior Backstage Glow Eyeshadow Palette.
1. ANYLADY Glitter Eyeshadow Palette
This one feels more expressive and a bit spontaneous. The shimmer leans noticeable, especially when it catches light, and I usually use it when I want the eyes to stand out a little more than usual. It’s not the kind of palette I rush through—I tend to take a bit more time pressing and layering so the glitter sits in a way that feels balanced rather than scattered. On certain days, I use it just in the center of the lid to add a small point of focus, instead of going all over.
2. Dior Backstage Glow Eyeshadow Palette
This palette feels more refined and controlled in comparison. The shimmer here is smoother, less chunky, and it blends into the skin in a way that feels more seamless. I usually reach for it when I want something polished but still soft. It gives a glow that looks intentional but not loud, which makes it easy to wear even in daylight settings. It’s the kind of palette that doesn’t need much layering to look finished.
Both palettes give glow in their own way, just with different attitudes. One feels a bit more playful and noticeable, the other more smooth and controlled. And having both makes it easier to adjust the mood of a look without changing much else.
